Congratulations to Alyce

Executive Assistance to Vice President, Sales
acting Revenue Manager
lebua at State Tower
Bangkok, Thailand

Susan, how are you and everyone at IHMC doing? How is Vancouver post Olympic? I believe that everyone is having a good time there, since the summer is approaching. I'm doing very well here in Thailand. I've been so busy with moving, adjusting to my new lifestyle (I had been in living in Vancouver for 10 years after all, so Bangkok is quite foreign to me in some sense), and working here. It's quite a big transition for me. Before I realize it, I've left Vancouver for 4 months already. Time flies, doesn't it? Recently, I received an email from Karina which made me think "oh my god, I've not contacted Susan and everyone at IHMC at all".

To update you with my work, I'm happily working in a hotel right now. I am now working at lebua at State Tower as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President - Sales.

Lebua at State Tower is one of the city hotels featured in Kiwi Collection. Although Executive Assistant is my title, my daily works are almost like those of Revenue Manager (since we don't have Revenue Department and the Reservation Department is too busy with everything else, they decide that they would let someone in Sales Department do it and that someone happens to be me!) I run through a lot of reports from Fidelio everyday and do forecasting 2 times a week. I'm really grateful that they gave this opportunity to me. After all, I'm someone who had never worked in Sales, Reservation, nor Revenue Department.

Guess what? They offered me this job because they were impressed with my resume and experiences that I earned while I was in IHMC. They believed that with all the experiences that I had, I would be able to learn everything in no time. Another thing is that I went to interview 4 times (with Recruiter, Director of HR, Vice President - Sales (my current boss), and the CEO of the hotel) and every time, I was in business suit.

They were really impressed with my grooming. They said that I would fit in the hotel especially the Executive Office very well (and yes, I still wear business suit to work everyday). You, Tia, and Eric are right. It is important to dress properly. IHMC taught me well. Thank you!
