The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong
is Planning an Infinity-Edge Pool on the 118th Floor
And we thought the infinity-edge pool at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore was scary. It turns out that when the new Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong opens in March of next year, it too will have an infinity-edge pool but on the 118th floor, the hotel's highest floor. However, this pool will be located indoors. Phew!
But just for comparison's sake, the Marina Bay Sands is 290 meters high while the Ritz will be 490 meters high. It will be the world's tallest hotel when it opens. And as we've seen at several Mandarin Oriental hotels, the lobby of The Ritz will actually start on the 102nd floor. That's because the hotel is housed on top of the International Commerce Centre building which will also include luxury commercial, residential and retail space.
