Learn More About Bordeaux

Everyone has certainly heard about Bordeaux and world known wines of this region. The luckiest ones may have even tried them before. But how much do you actually know about Bordeaux wines? The majority of them are red. They can be quite expensive. And they come from France and its most famous winemaking region. If it’s all you can tell about Bordeaux, then it’s a good idea to come to one of the workshops on fine wines we conduct regularly for our students on Fridays. The next one will all about Bordeaux.

At the workshop students of Imperial Hotel Management College will have an opportunity to upgrade their skills of wine appreciation and recognition, become familiar with the diversity and complexity of the world of fine wines, learn more about the history and winemaking traditions of Bordeaux and get profound understanding of six wine families and styles in the largest wine growing areas in France. And of course they will have a chance to try several wine vintages and feel the difference in their taste and flavor.

The broad range of wines that comes from Bordeaux will satisfy every wine lover for any occasion, while offering a wide price range. Average vintages produce over 700 million bottles of Bordeaux wine, ranging from large quantities of everyday table wine, to some of the most expensive and prestigious wines in the world. It’s an essential skill for a food and beverage management professional to know about wine taste and origin, wine pairing and presentation. And we are happy to provide this knowledge to our students, and teach them how to recommend and serve wine to the customers.
