When one leads a busy lifestyle time is a precious commodity. When I am on vacation I prefer to maximize what time I have in order to benefit the most from the trip. I enjoy destinations where the level of service and care is intense, and where VIP treatment is extended to the whole family.

At Courchevel I always stay at the same resort, Les Airelles. At euro 500 a room, its worth every cent!

For a ski vacation it is a one-stop shop, they rent all the ski equipment on the premises, print out your ski-pass and book your ski instructor in advance. It is possible to ski out of the hotel directly on to the slopes with an employee dressed in a white James Bond style ski-outfit to send you on your way!

The highlight of my visit always has to be the welcome back to the hotel in the evening. A staff member takes care of relieving you of your ski equipment, removes your ski boots and eases your tired feet into some woolly slippers. And if this wasn't enough they give you a glass of chilled white wine and some French "saucisson" to energise you for the evenings après-ski activities. Sheer bliss!
