Big Brand in the midscale market is making Big changes
InterContinental Hotels Group announced last week that its 57-year-old Holiday Inn brand is getting a $1 billion makeover, including improved bedding, ramped-up bathrooms and redone lobbies with scents and sounds. It's even planning to revamp those green-and-white Holiday Inn signs to make them more modern.
